I have a few of the original bed's and ID's, But I'm also after the more recent ones that have been done (Such as the new one Grimmy used about 10 mins in yesterday) if anybody has them?

In a way I kind of hope there is a new female VO on the way, Never really liked the current one! I don't think she'll live up to Holly though, she suited Radio1 perfect! I like how Dev still uses Holly and David on his opening ramp on weekend breakfast like he did on early breakfast!

I know what you mean, There are some parts of his which are good. I had a bit of a fiddle with the opening bed and have managed to put Laya and the New Guy together. I think this is better than what they've got now but that's just my opinion haha! Grimmy Opener Edit.mp3

Ahh that's true! I remember when Grimmy came back after easter last year and then there was the new Voice Over girl, I did not like it at all (Still don't to be fair), I think Matt said she was called Pie (not that spelling I hope). Laya was the better choice, I think she'd go well with the guy who's on breakfast now as well!

I have that same feeling, so why did they drop "Digital, FM, ONLINE"? I suppose it unifies it with 1Xtra, as they're not on FM.

Does anyone know who the is?I agree, proof is in the fact that they are still used on the station every now and again like in the free downloads, resident DJ on Gemma's (and Dev's old) show. And I'm sure it was Holly on the countdown numbers for that 100 All Time Downloads show the other week.

Now I thought the 2007 ones had a great intro, there was a good punch at the start, but the rest of it was a bit bland. When they got Holly on it with Jody it sounded a lot better! But yeah once it got remixed for 2009 it was top notch! No idea, I prefer Holly and David/Jody to the current ones if I'm honest. If I'm right that someone is Becky (Here's a artist page for her)

I agree with the "Digital, Fm, Online" news bed statement, the 2 Music4 news beds before this current one were the best they've had in my opinion. I also liked how they'd change the voice overs on the news when it was big weekend, They don't do that on this new one. Also I've noticed that the Free Downloads are still using Holly and David on the intros. Did the new guys never do the free downloads? Can't say I've listened to them in the past few years.

Does anyone think they might be phasing them out like with the 1tros and the PTM 1maging? I've got too admit I'm hearing the Pure Jingles stuff less and less on the station currently.

No need, you are correct! The one on the left controls the visualisation camera feed from within the studio, which when set to auto will switch to the camera that is pointing to whoever is currently speaking. The one on the right is the IDS and does quite a lot of things. Firstly it controls the logo on the TV at the back of the studio, as well as the lighting in the studio (I think this can control all the studio lighting and not just the colour wall washers). It also has options to change the style of clock on the studio status monitor (which shows if the Mics are live or if the Vision is on) and a few other things. Does anyone know what happened to all the equipment from the old studios or if it is all still there? Seems a bit of a waste for it to get skipped when the work commences (if it's still there that is).

I was browsing for some sweepers and stuff earlier when I came across "R1 NEWS XTRA 2013" on this website http://www.air-media.co.uk/newsbeds.html (it's the top one in the list). Could this mean we're due a Newsbeat refresh sometime soon? : It's very similar to the current package but with a few alterations, like the 2010/11 refresh of the 2009 jingles!
