Speaking of the Teen Awards, Delicious Digital have produced the new package for the Teen Awards this year. There's a few highlights on their website including a few on air clips from Scott and Clara!

We could be looking at a New Year imaging refresh, that has been known before (Newsbeat last year, around 2007ish I think they refreshed voices at new year as well). I doubt they'll refresh anything on Monday now as LLM has kicked off, they wouldn't change the imaging for that after a few days.

Don't forget when they did the transition from Holly and David to Mike and Katie the Adverts and Trails (and The Official Chart) started using Mike and Katie a few months before they actually changed everything over.

I've been watching this thread for the past few days and have decided to throw my 2cents in! And I'm going to start with a curve ball, I don't think 'Pure Jingles' are behind these new Power Intros and Idents that we are hearing. They do the "Where It Begins" TOHs and that's it. Lets bring 'On The Sly' to the table for a second. They already produce the Summer Mixes (this years and last years) as well as The Live Lounge imaging. They create a lot of power intros for other stations and in general, which is why I think they (and the R1 station sound team) are behind them. Another reason why I think this? Mike Wooller, male voice from 2012 and these new Power Intros, is one of On The Sly's voice over artists, and I'm sure I've heard this new female voice on one of their demos before. As far as the old Pure Jingles package above goes, if you check out their soundcloud page you'll find that demo listed 2/3 years ago, proving that it is an old package and not a new one. Newsbeat have been known to use an old voiced bed every now and again, so there's nothing new there. Have I missed anything?

It actually annoys me that Grimmy has got rid of the opener, and a lot of the beds from the package too! It's the flagship show and also signals the start of the day, it deserves to have the epic opener and standout sound that was created for it! The fact that Scott has gone back to using the original opener is great, it would be even better if he started using some of the beds again, like these new ones that were made for example!

Ok so I thought I'd make a Jingle Bin for people to chuck the odd R1 jingle that they may have into, something that could benefit us all. Ok so I spoke to someone on the BBC iPlayer Radio team the other day, turns out when the 7/30day period is up, the system automatically deletes the files off the iPlayer system. Now he also said the production teams of the shows will keep a copy of each show, but due to licensing and rights reasons (for the music in the shows) they will never be able to be made available too listen to again... Which is a shame really.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of BBC archive of previous shows? Or is there a way of tricking iPlayer into playing a show that is older than 30 days? Surely they don't delete every show that goes past 30 days old, although I maybe wrong there.

Ahh.. apologies for that, I've just seen it! I don't know how I missed that one, I did check as well! One thing I have noticed is that behind the new multi-coloured background you can see a blurred image of the currently on-air DJ!

Has anyone noticed the new Radio 1 and 1Xtra website? BBC Radio appear to have refreshed all of the radio homepages to bring them all in line with each other.

I listened to Early Breakfast with Adele this morning, and the vocals for My Tune Monday on the Resident Dj feature have been voiced by someone new, not one of the current 4. I'm waiting to see if tomorrows has been voiced by them too! This makes me think we're due a change soon, maybe!

Got to agree with you on this one! I kind of hope these new music friday jingles are just a hint at a new station wide package due soon!

I quite liked the sound of these new jingles, they sound fresh! And i've got to be honest (as much as i hate to say this), the R1 produced IDs since the 2014 voices haven't been their best work, The Pure Jingles TOH IDs jump all over them! I did think that Mike Wooller off of 2012 voiceover fame was involved in these jingles, either that or someone who sounds similar!

Not forgetting Porter Robinson - Language back in 2012-2013! Big tune!

Listening to all the different packages again and the 2010-2011 package is still on top for me! The current one (which got refreshed in 2013 for Jameela) is grating on me a bit now, and they hardly used any of the alt versions of the beds either! I too am hoping that Greg gets a new package, It is a completely new show in a way after all, even if he used the 2010 package I'd be happy haha!

Aha I'm totally with you there! Would have added that final touch! I'm just wondering who's idea it was to use the old chart packages for the different years? But it goes to show they keep all the old jingles etc somewhere.
