Normally Scott presents the semi finals of the eurovision song contest on BBC3 but I've heard nothing about it t his year.Does anyone know if he'll be doing it or not,and if not who else is?

well if they're going to share depping duties for Scott between Matt and Huw I assume they'll let Matt do Gregs show as well sometimes?

Some people were wondering if Gemma would still be filling in for Fearne after she took over as early breakfast host. It looks like the answer is no because on friday april 25 it will be Annie Mac who sits in for Fearne while Gemma is on earlies as normal. It also makes it look as though moving her to earlies was more of a demotion than promotion so she could be out the door completley in a year or 2 ! Better news for Dev though.He wil be sitting in for Greg James on friday april 18 and monday april 21 so looks like he could be the new first choice stand in for Greg ! (That said Huw is doing Zanes show for a couple of weeks starting on monday april 14 so that could be why he's not sitting in for Greg)

It's just been announced that Scott will be one of the DJs to present on a special new radio station to broadcast during the eurovision song contest in May. Other DJs on the station include Ken Bruce and Terry Wogan .It wil broadcast from may 8-12 .Sounds like fun! http://www.completemusicupdate.com/article/bbc-announces-standalone-eurovision-radio-station/ The interesting thing about the station is that all the other DJs apart from Scott are from radio 2, which means the radio 2 boss must like Scott so it looks like there'll be a place for him on radio 2 when he finishes on radio 1 !

Matt and Chris seemed to work well together on friday. I can see them forming a permanent on air partnership if Scott ever moves on.

In another late change to the schedules Huw Stephens will be sitting in for Zane Lowe all week starting monday april 14

Good news! Scott is doing a 2nd week on breakfast april 14-18 with Matt still on afternoons. Phil Taggart is doing Matts show on april 12 and 13. Alice is on holiday that week

In fairness to her it's not as if she's lazing about when she's not on the radio.She does her designing stuff and tv shows etc plus shes a mother. That said other DJs manage to fit in their tv work without taking too much time off the radio so maybe Fearnes contract needs to be looked at . I just hope some of this time off is coming off her holiday entitlement!

While it's great that Alice is getting more daytime exposure it's getting a bit ridiculous how much time Fearne gets off.I know she does a lot of tv stuff but this is a bit much ! She's off again next week for 3 days !

Grimmy always takes a break in april.He likes to go to the Coachella festival in the USA. The fact Matt is sitting in for Scott all week removes any doubt that he has taken over from Huw as the main stand in for Scott, which is good I think

Yeah they need to keep Greg just in case it all goes tits up with Grimmy on breakfast ,or if he suddenly quit.Gregs a safe pair of hands to turn to, and still only 28 !

lets hope she's too ill to sit in for Mat this saturday so Alice Levine can do it instead

Matt's in for Scott again on friday march 28 while Scott celebrates his 41st birthday. Huw Stephens is doing Gregs show on friday march 21 so it's starting to look from now on Matt will cover for Scott and Huw for Greg. That makes a lot more sense than Huw covering for everyone!

It's funny how Scott has done breakfast and the chart in the last few days at short notice.It's almost as if fate is trying to tell the bosses to let Scott do it permanently. I can understand why he never got breakfast because Moyles stayed so long,but why did he never get the chart show?

I am so gutted. A rare chance to listen to the chart without Jameela and I completely missed it Was she ill or is she still in Rome for her birthday celebrations?

I woudn't worry too much.They let Dev do it a few weeks ago and nobody thinks he'll get it full time so I don't think Fearne will be replacing Grimy any time soon. As for Grimmy I hope that glass wasn't put in his drink by one of t hose deranged One Direction fans!

Really? What makes you think that? He seems to be doing OK right now. I think Scott will probably leave radio one when he's done 20 years ,which is october 2018 .He'll be the same age as Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe were when they left then ie 45. he might even decide to go for DLTs daytime record of 25 years and retire when hes 50! (although I concede that Ben Cooper probably won't let him stay that long) The question is will he be moved to weekends for the last couple of years of his time at radio one like Jo Whiley was or would he want to go out on a high still doing weekdays? If he's asked to move to weekends and decides not to that could shorten his time at the station

I mentioned it on another thread but Adele will also be doing Huw Stephens show the weekend after next (march 15 and 16)

Adele Roberts is sitting in for Huw on sat march 15 and sun march 16. Maybe she could get the gig full time?

I have a feeling that they'll get rid of Skream as well and replace him with B Traits.It's so obvious they want her to have her own prime time show on a friday night

I've got a feeling that Huw might decide to leave his weekend show and focus on his specialist show,and I think he will be replaced by a female DJ.Possibly Sarah Jane Crawford,or maybe Alice Levine. With Gemma moving to weekdays they need to increase the no of female presenters on at weekends.It could even h appen as soon as the end of march when the other changes happen

Looks like Matt has now replaced Huw as first choice stand in for Scott. Could that mean he's being lin d up to replace him when he leaves?

Chris Moyles has been forced to apologise on twitter after a tax tribunal found him guilty today of illegally avoiding taxes by pretending to be a used car dealer, while he was earning millions on radio one! As long as the figures for grimmys show are near the 6 million mark he's safe on breakfast.He probably won't stay anywhere near as long as Moyles of course but he'll probably be there another couple of years at least .Sadly I think Scotts chances of hosting it are gone but he'll probably be back in april when Grimmy takes his next holiday
