It's a story. Actually sounds like it could be a good, different one actually: Monday 08 August 9:00pm - 10:00pm BBC Radio 1 Laughs in the Park Dev introduces highlights from the Laughs in the Park comedy festival, featuring sets by Eddie Izzard and Ross Noble, as well as the best bits from the other stages.

Why is Dev on at 9pm?? Shouldn't they be repeating a Radio 1's Stories?

Switch hasn't been about for around a year, although they didn't alter the Sunday programming. You'll notice it never says "Switch" anymore in adverts, and The 5:19 Show is just called "Tom Deacon" now.

I'm loving Matt Edmondson's show at the moment, and I was thinking - now with Switch gone I could see Radio 1 altering the Sunday night schedule again. I really dislike Tom Deacon's show on Sundays and I was wondering, wouldnt it be feasible for Tom to be dropped and The Matt Edmondson Show to take Sunday 7-9pm? This would make it into a proper show and increase the audience of one of the stations (IMO) best new talents? Thoughts?

Finished listening, he was good, but I feel he relied a little too heavily on reading out the texts coming in. Don't get me wrong, the things he said were funny, but if it was my first show on radio 1 I would have made up all sorts of features and stuff...

I don't think it was homophobic to be honest, Matt was being intentionally edgy to get a rise out of him, I don't think it's necessarily homophobic for a straight man to voice his aversion to the idea of Matt being "on his back" etc...

I loved the show last night, thought it was genuinely laugh-out-loud funny throughout! Matt's an amazing presenter, I actually reckon he's my third favourite DJ after moyles and mills. More please!

Mills or Greg should be in for Moyles on Good Friday. Seeing as everyone's off school and possibly work, listening figures should surely be just as high, if not higher, than usual. Putting Dev there seems ridiculous, no?

There's actually no-one on at the weekend now that I particularly like. Sara's ok, tho her show is nowhere near as good as it was when she did the Lie-in. Edith's bland as usual, Vernon and Reggie are my least favourite presenters on the station, and Tom is pretty poor as well. I genuinely think Matt Edmondson should have got Jo's slot. I always love his shows and I'm assuming his Wednesday one will be a good listen, but an hour a week isn't enough!

Was wonderin what everyone thought of Huw's new show this weekend? I caught a wee bit of it, seemed ok but nothing special. I usually dont mind him when he covers for other DJs but I wasn't blown away by his own show if I'm honest...

I was kind of surprised this morning that Moyles' jingles weren't refreshed as they usually are at this time of year. Do you think it's anything to do with Radio 1 not using Music4 anymore, and do you think it's a sign of only 6 months left of the show? [i'm new btw. Hello! ]
