I think Matt taking over from Scott would have been to like for like in some eyes now and no one big would have wanted to be the one who replaces him. Where as now the dust has settled on Scott leaving so the new shows an improvement

I’d give Matt and Moll the Friday too and just have Dean & Vicky weekends (or ideally split them up)

They’re freelancers who presumably don’t have golden handshakes as they don’t have regular slots or ones that are tied down. As soon as they have a regular mainstream show on Radio 1 or global then that’s when golden handshakes occur

My latest thoughts I think Jordan would have been a shoe in for Breakfast definitely but 2 things. If Greg wanted to stay longer than that’s longer Jordan has to wait and with the BBC you’re only a scandal away from being the headlines which could scupper his chances. Also I reckon Jordan would have had to share breakfast with Vick, Katie or Molly but will definitely be taking the lead on capital

Presenters it sounds like. I’m thinking the likes of Mark Goodier, Tony Blackburn. Zane or Annie Mac for past, Clara, Danny, Sarah story, Sian for present and future Connor Coates maybe?

Said it before said it again Christmas week should be for upcoming presenters or ones that you don’t hear from much so only have 1 or 2 shows a week. There’s no point having Jordan and to an extent Katie who you hear loads of and they need a break when listenership is down. Arielle having daylight hours if she’s around - yes. The rest should be the likes of Nat, Ore, Sam & Danni, James Cusack/Emile (if the latter is not covering Absolute)

I think Jordan doing Christmas Day is a certain. Him doing Christmas limbo week seems a bit of a waste though as take him off elsewhere in the year. I’d imagine because of the dates Greg will have 2 weeks off (first week of Jan is my bet) so Matt/Jordan should get that week. Christmas limbo week should be the likes of Arielle in daylight, Sam & Danni, Ore and Nat

If Roman was up for it I reckon he should do full time bbc tv and so he can still be in Radio hold the Sat 10am and poss Friday 10am slot for him and Saturday put Katie with Jordan
