  1. I agree it's very sad, although I think it was right of him to resign given the nature of his job (i.e. finding areas to make cuts in) but I'm sure he'll get another chance in this government. I think you answered your own question about why the Telegraph didn't release the information - it's because he was unheard of at the time and they wanted to publish stuff about cabinet ministers at the time. People will say that the Telegraph now has too much power as it can decide to bring up expenses claims to damage people in government/opposition when it wants; but it's just reporting the truth. Hopefully this will be a message to other MP's to check their claims and come open about it now.
  2. The government should have put someone up on Question Time, as slimy and corrupt as Alastair Campbell is not putting someone up is inexcusable after a Queens speech. Maybe recent news involving David Laws had someting to do with that...
  3. Haven't watched it but from the trailers we deserved to finish last. We can go on about political voting but our entry was awful.
  4. Well done, he's been on for a while now though but doing a good job! (Although I miss those priceless comments on Scott's show!)
  5. Aren't really that impressed by the new era: Dev, Matt Edmonson are ok but time will tell, Tom Deacon is probably good for a 12-16 year old audience but hopefully he'll stay there. It would be great to see Annie Mac take over from Fearne Cotton but that's not going to happen this early and taking over from Jo Whiley instead of doing Switch wouldn't be that much of a promotion and she probably wouldn't want it. Basically there won't be a big shake up this time round like last year, Moyles, Fearne, Greg, Scott, Zane and Nick Grimshaw will all stay where they and they'll make a couple of changes to the weekend with Jo probably leaving.
  6. Impressive it's only bleh friday...
  7. Because they have more Welsh DJ's than Scottish or N. Irish. They do talk about England quite alot...
  8. I'm pretty sure he's gone actually, wasn't fired just sent home for being ill. Won't be coming back that's why Sugar said 'Keep in touch'.
  9. His interviewing the Liverpool players was quality!
  10. He should be the new Chappers during the world cup, be in the studio making sarcastic remarks etc. though he probably is too cool for Scott now...
  11. The last series someone pulled out before it started, but I think it was because they didn't have the bottle.
  12. Seems a bit unfair that he was fired just for being ill when his team won. Is he definitely not coming back?
  13. They've even got several trailers for it on TV. FFS the event has ended, I can't think of any other event on TV that's plugged as much after it's actually happened.
  14. Not to the same extent though, I've heard the Alicia Keys New York song at least three times now and it was only sung live 3 days ago.
  15. Sorry if this is wrong forum/not worthy of a thread. I think the big weekend was great even though I didn't go (and the streaming was awful) and Moyles and Greg's show last week were fantastic imo. But after having a whole weekend of live music, they've still got dedicated 2 hours (1 in Moyles and 1 on the 9 o'clock show) just playing big weekend stuff above all the stuff they play during the day anyway. They are overdoing it a bit, would be nice to have a bit more non big weekend material.
  16. If we get to the semi finals I think that'll be a fantastic achievement.
  17. Unsure, I'm not a doctor so difficult to say whether it's true or not, but I'd be very very surprised if it's not based on solid fact given the neccessity of people giving blood. Giving blood is not a privilige it's someting that someone does because it's a good thing to do, so I don't see why they'd ban gay people from giving blood for any other reason other than it's not safe. I think the wording is such because you can be gay but not have had sex.
  18. Heard Chappers give a cheeky plug for this when he signed of 5live "Inside sport on at 11.20 but record it and listen to Tony Livesey". Apparently it's not going to be on iplayer either because it's got football coverage in it...
  19. I kind of hope that anyway (well maybe a bit harsh). Watched the second half of the england game, we do rely on set pieces but also o players like Rooney (obv), Lennon, Gerrard and to a lesser extent Johnson who make things happen and create things.
  20. oi they already had it in the West country last year:D
  21. He'd link up pretty well with PR4L, and I think he'd be a great host of Oh!
  22. The presenter doesn't really have much influence in how good the chart show is imo, it's more about which artists are in and whether there's good bans in the charts.
