  1. Scott and Chris, thanks for taking us along for this very fun ride. Eager to hear you both in your next chapter — wouldn’t miss it for the world. x x Ian in Philadelphia
  2. Hey! Is there anyway of getting the ticket without meeting you in London as meeting time could be a problem.

  3. Hi babes -- I'm making my first trip to London from the states next week, and have ONE extra (and FREE) ticket to the England-Montenegro game on Tue 12th Oct. at Wembley Stadium. (It's my understanding that you're not supposed to resell football tickets in the UK, so I hope GIVING it away is acceptable.) The seat is in block 130, row 28 -- one of the lower home corners -- a ₤40 location. I was able to buy another ticket in the 3d row, midfield -- that's why I'm giving the other one away (lucky you, you don't even sit next to me). Plus the fact that I love my fellow Mills geeks. You'd just have to make a local pickup in London or at Wembley on the 12th. Who wants it? PM me. -- Ian off of Philadelphia
  4. happy birthday, feliz cumpleanos, and all that cheese off of actual america! thanks for putting all the work into this labour of love for the rest of us. enjoy your day!
  5. yessss. looks like the pixie pod is fixed. #highfive to beccy, or whoever....
  6. strange that we unlucky americans have always been able to see last year's musical -- but can't see any of this year's edinburgh shows. what's up with that?
  7. i mean "chavs" with OWO love and sarcasm! relax!
  8. hi geeks (& chavs). random q: anyone know the name of the music scott uses to "get in the mood" on the show -- that cheesy romantic tune with the saxophone riff (no lyrics)... figured it was one of those music4 production tracks, but I don't see it there...
  9. hey geeks. i'm planning a trip (from philadelphia) to england in october -- it's a dream of mine to see a premier league match. i know the fixtures usually are announced in the summer -- but generally are there any matches during the week in october? the schedules i saw from this past season show only saturday games during that month. is that common? (i'll likely only be in the country monday-friday.) much luv -- ian off of america
  10. sorry, Sigrid, and all -- my vote's for autumn. week of 11th october, to be exact. that'll be my first trip to that london from the states! selfish bugger, i know...
  11. did they still play the legacy 'national radio 1' saviour jingle at the end of the show?
  12. ha -- you guys are amazing. i was googling 'jody latham' (had never heard of him, being off of america here) after hearing the e-mail in Dear Scott last week. and here you fill me in on news before i know it. most people don't care about station imaging/voiceovers, but for those of us who do listen for such things, changes can be grating on the senses. i loved the latham/holly combo -- how good did it sound with the two of them in the 1tros? seriously -- hot. and the 'digital - fm - online - this - is radio 1' tracks SO well when you say it. it works. plus, there's gotta be some pride in the 'national' moniker -- when all is said and done, this is YOUR radio station, for and by the people of the UK (even though it really has taken off globally over the years). we don't have a true 'national' radio here in the US -- and I think our syndicated programming pales in comparison to what happens across the BBC. but, perhaps that's an idea behind the change. put your name on it if you're proud of the work you're doing. easier to market to the rest of the world. as one of those who detests change, it'll take a while for me to warm up to this new chap. but how cool of a job is that -- to tell your uni mates that you're the VO guy on Radio 1 (or, should I say, BBC Radio 1). and now, being a complete dork, i've gotta go record some old latham stuff from my mills show trove. (those pictures of jody from cosmo -- good MORNIN) love youu
  13. hiyaaa. ian from philadelphia here. heard your millzy on vacation in northern ireland and never looked back. subscribed to sirius when i returned to the states, and i've got my computer set up so it turns each show into an audiobook for my ipod. i listen every day on my commute. brilliant! love you guys.
