Thank you Viv for your comment on the last Surgery thread. Things are getting a lot better. I'm fortunate enough to have some truly lovely people in my life, and believe me, I appreciate them.

Had a lovely time. As you know my father and I don't always see eye to eye, but a just couple of days, and staying with different friends seemed to work. He was really sweet. Took my brother and me out to lunch in Selfridges, went to The Wallace Collection, to the pub then dinner in Soho.

Walked past the end of Great Portland St, but decided against Scott stalking.

Having a v lazy day too. T made a lovely omelette, and I'm just off to have a shower. Am still sitting like a slob in my dressing gown!

It's under way, ta for the offer though. One question, the boyf and me have a bit of a discussion about this one, do you put finely grated carrot in yours? I've followed my mum's recipe, which she was taught by a large Italian mamma in the 60s, for years, and I like a little carrot for the sweetness, but the boyf doesn't approve.
