I missed a lot of it but did manage to tune in from about 2.30 and it was very funny. It was so over the top with the presenting style right down to the bed music that it worked a treat! A brilliant show - more of this fun please Radio 1!

Ah, so she wasn't there at all for the first 40 mins. That explains it! I too thought she sounded incredibly rough when she finally made it on air!

I was listening to Gemma CAirney on my way in to work this morning and thought she must have had some sort of technical issue. When they went in to the news (7.30) it sounded like a pre recorded emergency link as all it said was "This is BBC Radio 1, now for the latest headlines with NEwsbeat" and the reader had to say the time and his name. They then played 3 songs after the news and then two really short links. By this time i had got to work and switched off. Does anyone know what happened?

i was listening on my way back from work in the car to newsbeat but cant find it online. I hope tey put it up, thats the only reason i visited the website

What will happen to Newsbeat as they are based above the ordianry R1 studios in Yalding are they not? Will they be moving also?

I hope they are not getting rid of it, there must be cameras about in those posh studios that can do it

They must have some issues up there as last Thursday they had some Microphone issues and both R1 and 1X had to cuts to songs

That was a technical fault with the microphones though, nothing to do with them having to cut a song. 1Xtra was the same and ended up having to cut to a song

the middle sentence of the middle paragraph doesn't even make sense! "I do recognise that you recently, Radio 1....." At least it has been acknowledged i guess?
