Nick Grimshaw forced to self-isolate for two weeks

Grimmy has been forced to delay his return to Radio 1 after two weeks annual leave after his boyfriend was told to self-isolate.

The Radio 1 drivetime presenter had been expected to return to airwaves on Monday but is now in quarantine in East London with his partner Meshach Henry.

Turning to Instagram the DJ told fans that he was not experiencing any symptoms but wanted to avoid a “second spike in the Live Lounge”, so will be off the airwaves this week.

He said: “Sooooooo…this morning Mesh found out that he has to self isolate for the next 14 days and as I live with him, cos I really like him, so do I. Obviously livid.

“So gutted but rules are rules and CBA starting a second spike in the Live Lounge. Both feel totally fine right now and have no symptoms. Fingers crossed we like each other for 14 more days.”

Dev is covering the show this week whilst Jordan North covers for Scott Mills (who is covering for Steve Wright).

Adele Roberts is expected to host drivetime next week, with the expectation Grimmy will co-present.
