The announcement was made as Florence joined the Radio 1 Breakfast Show to talk about her new material that was first played on Zane Lowe’s last night.
Florence and the Machine joins Taylor Swift as the first two names on the bill for this year’s Big Weekend which will take place in Earlham Park, Norwich.
Nick Grimshaw said: “I’m super excited that Florence has been added to the line-up – her songs are made for festivals.”
